I am a Senior Associate Solicitor with a special interest in maternal injury claims. ... During the birth of my first child, I sustained life-changing obstetric injuries and had to undergo extensive medical treatment. As a result of my journey, I’ve become an advocate and strong campaigner for women with severe perineal and maternal injuries and have been closely involved with The MASIC Foundation since it launched. MASIC is the only multi-disciplinary charity to support women who have suffered severe injuries during childbirth known as OASI (Obstetric Anal Sphincter Injuries) and works to improve the prevention, detection and treatment of these devastating injuries.

I returned to Irwin Mitchell in early 2023 to work with maternal injury clients, charities, healthcare professionals and policy makers to give visibility to women who have experienced OASI and birth trauma and to improve maternity outcomes for all. I am on the Board of Experts of the Birth Trauma Association and involved with the APPG on Birth Trauma.
