About this Event
This activity is open to the wider biotechnology community, with participation encouraged from:
- Healthcare and pharmaceuticals: including drug discovery, diagnostics, and therapeutic development.
- Industrial and manufacturing biotechnology: companies using bio-based processes for chemicals, enzymes, and materials.
- Agricultural and food biotechnology: organisations applying biotechnology and AI to crop science, food production, and sustainability.
- Environmental biotechnology: applications of biotechnology and AI to waste reduction, circular economy, and bio-based sustainability solutions.
- Academic and training providers: universities, further education institutions, and specialist training organisations preparing the future workforce.
- AI focused SMEs and startups: Use of AI in all sectors of healthcare
By engaging a broad cross-section of biotechnology sectors, the event will ensure that insights on AI adoption and training needs are representative of the whole industrial biotech ecosystem in the North West, while also identifying common challenges and opportunities for collaboration across sectors.
