About this Event

Drop in any time between 12 noon and 3 pm to talk with staff from key agencies working to mitigate flood risk and support communities to protect themselves and their property during floods.

• State Emergency Services – get tips on how to prepare your home to reduce the risk of flooding and what to do if there is a flood in your area
• Gawler River Floodplain Management Authority – find out more about their work to manage flooding along the Gawler River
• Department for Housing and Urban Development – have your say on draft updates to flood hazard mapping and planning rules to guide how development should be designed to keep people and property safe from floods, and find out how these draft changes would affect your property
• Department for Environment and Water – learn about their role as state flood hazard disaster risk reduction leader and use their mapping tool to discover the flood risk at your property
