Gathering with the Gods - Freya

Gathering with the Gods is a workshop about connecting you with the gods. A different deity or spirit is spotlit each month. We connect to them via an altar to start, before taking time to learn about the deity, their mythology and more. We complete the workshop with a guided meditation to connect with the deity personally and a spell where we apply what we've learned.
Freya is a Norse Goddess of Love, Beauty, Death, Magic and more. Most people call on Freya for her love, beauty, and magic but she also extends a hand to those grieving a loss of themselves, a loved one, and more. She leads souls to the afterlife, Fólkvangr, when they are slain in battle.
This month, we will explore themes of death and grief with Freya. She picked this theme as sometimes, we forget to grieve what we've let go of in order to grow and that can hold us back. You may have lost a loved one that you'll grief during this time. There is also a collective grief going on in the world and she would like to hold space for that. So we will spend time working through whatever death and grief you've experienced. We will acknowledge what death has occurred and learn how to move past this to enjoy life. Freya and I can't promise all the answers or that your grief will disappear afterwards, but we can offer this space at least for the community.
