Clay workshop with Alma Cielo and Heba Alfi: Help create a tile for the 1000 Voices Altadena Mosaic!
This partnership with Alma Cielo brings together art, healing, and community resilience in a powerful way. A multidisciplinary artist who lost her home in the Eaton Fire, Alma leads the _1000 Voices Altadena Mosaic_, inspired by the proverb, “It takes a thousand voices to tell a single story.” The project aims to engage over 1,000 community members in creating a large-scale mosaic using shards from fire-affected homes alongside new clay tiles made in public workshops.
By transforming fragments of loss into a collective work of art, the initiative fosters healing, connection, and shared storytelling. New Horizon School has a unique opportunity to partner with Alma on this meaningful project, and we hope you will participate in supporting this community-driven path toward recovery and renewal. https://www.laconservancy.org/1000voices/
