Join us for a flavorful class that celebrates the bright, bold taste of peak-season tomatoes ! You’ll explore the versatile of summer’s favorite fruit through four delicious recipes.
Burst Cherry Tomato Orzotto
Peak-season cherry tomatoes and fresh basil to bring this light and summery on-pot orzotto. It's only as good as the tomatoes we use, so peak we'll use what our local farmers provide! Serve as a meatless main meal with a side salad or use it as a side with your choice of protein; chicken, fish or shrimp!
Caramelized Tomato Tarte Tatin
This tart is a stunning mosaic of red, orange, and yellow tomatoes so shiny and candied that the tart really looks like a dessert. The splash of vinegar and those briny olives leave no doubt that it is surely a savory tart!
Tomato Jam
Good tomatoes and balance are crucial to this divine tomato jam. We need that sugar for the kind of gooey, sticky quality we associate with jam...we need acid to counterbalance the sugar and lime is the best. And you'll love the spices and all your friends will wonder what they are. Enjoy on a crostini with a dab of goat cheese or add it to your grilled cheese!
Summer Caprese Salad..This classic summer dish doesn't get any simpler or more delicious. We have added a summer peach to the heirloom tomatoes for the prettiest salad and creamy mozzarella for the best tasting one. Add the beautiful summer basil and a dreamy dressing!
