📍 Where
Our base camp will be at the GAP Trail Biker Campground in West Newton, PA — tent camping is only $25 per night and includes:
• Private bathrooms with flush toilets & hobbit showers
• Coffee station ☕

🚲 The Rides
Thursday – Wilderness Warm-Up Ride�After arriving at camp and getting set up, we'll head eastbound on the Great Allegheny Passage into some of the most remote and scenic sections of the GAP trail before turning around and returning to camp. Expect approximately 30 miles round trip. Wheels down around 2:00–3:00 PM, depending on arrival and setup.
Friday – River Town Explorer�We'll ride from camp toward Pittsburgh for an approximately 50-mile round trip. On this section, the wilderness gradually gives way to the old industrial river towns that helped build Pittsburgh, with plenty of interesting sights along the way.
Saturday – Pittsburgh Urban Adventure�We'll shuttle the bikes with our vehicles to West Homestead and jump on the GAP Trail for an urban sightseeing ride. From there, it's about 8 miles to Mile Zero in Point State Park where the three rivers meet in downtown Pittsburgh. We'll continue with a scenic loop along the rivers, crossing the iconic Fort Pitt Bridge, exploring the South Side, and rolling through Color Park—home to some of the best graffiti art this side of Centralia. Expect an easy, social ride of approximately 30 miles total.
Sunday – Pack Up & Head Home�We'll break camp, say our goodbyes, and head home—hopefully with tired legs and plenty of stories to tell.

I’ll be camping from Thursday, September 10th to Sunday the 13th. Come for all three or just the days that work for you.
