West Newton Borough Council is calling a special “Town Hall” meeting on Tuesday, September 22 at 6:30 at the West Newton Center for Active Adults to discuss the revitalization of the former GC Murphy property.
The purpose of the meeting is to hear residents’ concerns, ideas, and priorities for site of the former GC Murphy building. This meeting is not a regular meeting. No action or voting by council will take place.
Format: 5 minutes for introductions and ground rules, 10–15 minutes for a Borough update, 45–60 minutes for open resident discussion, and 5–10 minutes to summarize follow-up items.
Speaking Rules:
* Residents will be recognized before speaking.
* State name for record
* 3 minutes per speaker, with additional time at the moderator’s discretion.
* One speaker at a time.
* Questions/comments should be directed to the moderator or Council
* Resident of West Newton Borough
