What was it like to wear and perform with a theatrical mask in ancient Greece? We can get close to answering that question without wearing one ourselves! In this gallery talk, graduate curatorial intern Sarah Gonzalez will provide insight into the relationship between actor and mask as represented in ancient Mediterranean art. We will look together at funerary monuments for deceased actors, symposium eye cups, and more!

Sarah Gonzalez, graduate curatorial intern, Division of Asian and Mediterranean Art
