Gallery Excursion and Artist Hang! Vancouver Sketchup 039

This time we are going to see Rachael Ashe's (@rachael_ashe) art installation at Portal Pop up Gallery (@portalpopupgallery)

Rachael Ashe is a Vancouver-based artist of Trinidadian-Irish descent, originally from Ontario. She is a graduate of the Creative Photography program at Humber College, and is a multidisciplinary artist self-taught in paper-cutting and sculpting. She creates hand-cut artwork and installations from paper. Rachael credits her former position as a photographer at the Textile Museum of Canada, and an extensive exposure to handcrafted textiles, as a major influence on her work with paper to this day.

After we've had a look around the exhibit, we will walk down to Steamworks Waterfront for our Drink & Draw. Bring your own materials!

We will meet at the Portal Pop Up Gallery 5pm and stay till around 5.45pm. We will be at Steamworks Waterfront from 6-8pm.
