QUICK DETAILS:Duration: 3 hours
Distance: The walking tour route is roughly 1 mile.
Ages: All ages are welcome; groups must include at least 1 adult chaperone.
This Tour is Perfect for Elementary & Middle School-Aged Children!
All food & admissions are included in the price of a ticket.

• Perfect for classroom groups, youth groups, homeschool groups, church groups, scouting groups, summer field trips, or any group with children.
The Walking Tour:
Guests will meet their guide in Standish Park. We'll stroll across to Knox College's Alumni Hall where we'll head to the 3rd floor to learn about the founding of Galesburg and Knox College.
We'll leave Knox and walk to several other points of interest including:
• Old Knox County Jail,
• Knox County Courthouse,
• Mother Bickerdyke Monument,
• Allen Chapel AME, and
• Corpus Christi Church
Our walk continues to Jimmy's Pizza, where we'll have lunch.
Then, we'll head to the train depot where the group will learn about Abraham Lincoln's signing of the emancipation proclaimation, the CBQ railroad, and the 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment.
Say cheese! We'll take a group photo on the backside of the CBQ S4 #3006 train with the city mural in the background.
Then, we'll head over to Sprinkle & Spoon where the group gets an exclusive behind the scenes experience in the kitchen- hair nets included! Each person will get ice cream fresh from the batch freezer that they can add their own mix-ins to.
Next, we'll head over for a private tour of the Orpheum Theater, where everyone will get their own individual bag of Seminary Street's very own, JT's CarmelKorn, at the end.
From there, we'll head over to Park Plaza/Galesburg sign for another group photo op.
Then, we'll head back toward Standish Park, learning more about:
• The Public Square,
• Carl Sandburg Statue,
• Central Congregational Church, and
• Beecher Chapel
