Simple Guidelines: Bring a full cake, get 8 slices of other cakes. Whether you only bake for holidays or work as a local pastry chef, this event is to try new treats (savory or sweet), meet local makers, and sample other flavors. Wild Hare will have cider and other foods available as well.
Bakers: we encourage bringing your own to-go boxes, and cake slicer. VIP Taster Tickets (no cake required) will be available prior to the event. Neither ticket will be sold day of.
Standard Cake Maker tickets include entrance, complimentary green tea and 8 slices. Cake Registration is required prior to event! We need to know how many tables we are setting up.
VIP ticketholders can attend and leave with slices, without bringing a cake of their own, limited quantity - must be purchased prior to event.
FAQ
1. What does my ticket include? Your ticket includes entrance into the Community Cake Exchange, 8 cake slices (VIP Includes a to go box), and complimentary green tea.
2. Do I need to bake the cake myself? We highly encourage homemade whole, uncut cakes. It must be at least 6 in. in diameter, 8 in. or larger is ideal.
3. Can I bring my friend just to hang out? Unfortunately, everyone that attends must have a ticket and bring their own cake or have a tasters ticket. Ticket sharing or splitting one cake between multiple people to gain entry is not allowed.
4. Can I use nuts? If you can cake it, you can bring it. Please keep in mind there will be people with allergies so cakes with nuts will be on a separate table to avoid cross contamination. We will ask you to label your cake CLEARLY with life threatening allergens and ingredients. All attendees should proceed with caution when consuming the cakes.
5. Can I bring cupcakes or bars? No. The cake must be a whole cake.
6. How many cakes can I bring? You are not limited to one cake. Bakers can bring in more than one cake, and tasters can purchase up to two tickets.
7. Will there be food or drink on site? Besides cake, there will be complimentary green tea provided by Wild Routes, and food and cider available from Wild Hare Cidery.
