About this Event
Join us for the premiere screening of Our Community. Our Canvas., a new documentary exploring the power of community-engaged art to create connection, spark conversation, and inspire change.
Produced by 19RED, the film follows public artist and host Hamilton Glass as he meets artists using creativity to transform shared spaces and bring people together. Traveling from Richmond to Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Providence and University Park, Glass explores how making art together can help communities process grief, celebrate milestones, inspire learning and create moments of empathy and understanding.
Following the 55-minute screening, Producer/Director Pam Hervey will moderate a conversation about the film and the broader role of community-engaged art with Producer/Host Hamilton Glass and featured artists Matt Lively, Noah Scalin and Alfonso Pérez Acosta. The conversation will conclude with an audience Q&A.
