Come join us for Fusion Dance - Brier Creek's monthley dance, a night of great music and even better dancing!
Please invite all of your friends! 😁
There will be a beginner lesson at 7pm (Details in Discussion) and then DJed dancing from 8pm-Midnight.
The price will be $10, $8 for students/military/seniors with ID. We are also looking for four volunteers to man the door for an hour each from 7-10 to collect money. These volunteers will get in free. Entry is free for the last hour at 11pm.
So what is Fusion dance? Fusion dancing is a form of improvised partner dancing that occurs when dancers “fuse” or combine elements from two or more dance styles, or use elements of a dance style with music that is not typically associated with that dance style. There are no specific patterns, so there is a particular emphasis on the connection between partners. Fusion can be danced to many genres of music, and communities often have their own distinct dance and musical style. Although Fusion is not specifically related to Blues dance, the versatility of the Blues aesthetic lends itself well to crossing over to different dance styles such as Swing, Argentine Tango, Zouk, Kizomba, and many other styles.
