Who is this course for?This 1.5 hour class is suitable for all levels.
What does the course cover?
Karen will teach you the technique of creating Decorative Glass using specialist Frit glass, creating your own designs in preparation for it to be fired in our kiln. Beginning by deciding on your own design - perhaps a meadow or local landmark - you will be guided through the process of creating your design using glass. Your piece will then be fired in our kiln and ready for collection the following week. This class is perfect for beginners and also for those who have already completed a Frit class and would like to explore further.
What is included in the fee?
Your fee of £52 includes tuition by Karen, the use of tools and equipment and all materials.
Each student can make one piece of your own design (a max of 20x20cms) - This can also be split into smaller pieces allowing you to make different designs.
Please note - this does not include cutting glass please see our other classes for this type of work.
There is a maximum of 6 students per class to ensure individual attention.
Please note your pieces are fired in our kiln and will be ready for collection the following week.
What do I need to bring?
Please wear sturdy and fully enclosed footwear (no open toes or gaping sides) and old clothes that you do not mind getting dirty or damaged.
Please ensure long hair is tied back.
All drink containers/bottles must have lids.
