Description: In a one day class students will create a pattern from a provided photograph, learn how to make realistic eyes and noses, and be well on their way to creating a memorable art quilt wall hanging by the end of the day. Students will learn the importance of value and technique, gaining skills that can be transferred to other art styles.
Presenters: Tina Frudenberger (Eggleston, VA) and Carol Monti (Blacksburg, VA). Information and samples of their work can be found on their website, www.FurRealArtQuilts.com
Date and Time: Saturday Apr 11, 2026 from 9am to 4pm with lunch break. Participants should bring their own lunches.

A Mandatory Supply kit Fee of $40.00 charge is included in the Registration Fee. It covers materials for each participant to receive and keep the Supply Pack for the workshop which includes everything needed (except scissors) to finish the portrait (either 9 x 12” or 10 x 10’).
The Supply Kit will include: fabric, Steam a Seam2 Lite fabric adhesive, tweezers, clear acrylic sheet, teflon pressing sheet, Pellon 70 stiff interfacing and a canvas frame for mounting.
