They're back in the capital! Funky Mama return with The Rite of Spwing — an evening of deep funk, bouncy boogaloo and '80s house, guaranteed to get the hips moving and the dancefloor shaking.
Led by saxophonist Bryn van Vliet, Funky Mama bring together some of Wellington's finest musicians for a night of infectious grooves, big sounds and unapologetic dancefloor energy.
Come down for a Thursday night libation, learn to sing along to "Embraceable Dude" and prepare to be thoroughly entertained by a collection of songs that are equal parts silly, funky and fun.
