Hey now! We are presenting our inaugural Fungi, Spore, & Fermentation Fest on October 25th, 9am-12pm at Howe Meadow - and it's going to be absolutely spore-tacular!
FEATURED GUEST: Jeremy Umansky, James Beard Award-nominated chef, co-owner of Larder Delicatessen, and co-author of "Koji Alchemy" will be sharing his expertise on koji and wild foods!
We're talking:
• Live fermentation and fungal cultivation demos
• Sampling local fermented foods, mushroom varieties & artisanal products
• Live music and activities for all ages
• Costume Contest! Come dressed as your favorite fungi for "Best in Show" - Halloween practice round!
This festival is also a seasonal celebration as we get ready for a big transition. It caps off our final Howe Meadow market, and we want to celebrate the connections we've built before we move to our winter home at Old Trail School. The best part? Our regular market runs alongside the fest, so you can get all your usual groceries and goodies while you explore!
So come on down and join us on October 25th from 9am-12pm. It's totally free, family-friendly, costumes are welcome, and the vibes will be spore-tacular!
