in the reference area, and the area to the right of the reference area. The format is 4 or 5 rounds (depending on number of sign-ups) , each round is a 20 minute game (where each player gets 20 minutes to complete the game).
There will be two sections, Age 14 and under, and an open section..
We are limiting the participation to 16 players in each section. If you, or one of your friends, would like to play please respond to this email.
United States Chess Federation rules apply. For those that have not played in a tournament this is an opportunity to have that experience within a fun helpful environment.
USCF rules, include the following;
1. if you touch a piece you have to move it (assuming it is a legal move)
2. the open division will play with clocks, the age 14 and under section will NOT
3. if your opponent captures one of your pieces, there is no crying.
4. use good sportsmanship
5. you do not have to be a USCF member to play
