Every full moon tells a story of tides, time and seasonal changes. Join us across Will County for a night where science and wonder meet beneath the glow of the moon. Join an American Canoe Association-certified interpretive naturalist for an evening paddle using the full sturgeon moon to light the night.
This program is part of our full moon program series. Stay tuned to our Event Calendar for future programs.
Fee: $20 per person.
Age: Ages 16 and older. Participants younger than 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Registration required by Wednesday, Aug. 26, by calling 815-722-4121 or online: https://anc.apm.activecommunities.com/fpdwc/activity/search/detail/10166?onlineSiteId=0&from_original_cui=true
This is a recreational, non-instructional paddle on the water; previous paddling experience is required. Be sure to wear shoes and clothes that can get wet, and don’t forget your sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and a water bottle.
The launch area is easily accessible by a paved sidewalk from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online (https://www.reconnectwithnature.org/americans-with-disabilities-act-information/request-accommodation-inclusion-service/) no later than 48 hours before the program.
