About this Event
This session will focus on Trusted Research and Research security, raising awareness of risks associated with research and international collaboration and how these can be managed effectively.
We will provide practical guidance on key regulatory and policy frameworks, including Export Controls, the National Security and Investment (NSI) Act, and the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS), helping researchers to make informed decisions when undertaking international collaboration.
The session also highlights the role of the Research Compliance Team (RCTeam) and the tools available to support Principal Investigators (PIs) and researchers. This includes guidance on assessing partner suitability, managing information and knowledge sharing, protecting intellectual assets, and undertaking export control due diligence in line with UKRI and government expectations.
This is an in-person only event taking place in Engineering B_2B.003 M&T. Please register a spot through this Eventbrite page in order to attend. Registrants will be sent a calendar invite upon signing up.
