This workshop will focus on the fundamentals of fruit tree grafting and will cover making new trees as well as grafting on to existing trees. Lecture will cover tools needed, scion collection, rootstock selection and various grafting methods including whip, cleft and the bark graft.
Participants will be seated during lecture and demonstration (1 ½ hours), followed by small tour of grafted trees. Indoor classroom available if raining. Nursery will also be open for those interested in purchasing plants. This event is free. Kids are welcome.

This event will be held at Rainshine Permaculture Homestead and Nursery, which is located in the Freshwater Valley, in between Eureka and Arcata on the Humboldt Bay.
This event will follow the 25th annual Seed, Plant and Scion Exchange witch is being held on Saturday March 14th at the Arcata Community Center from 11am to 4pm.
