About this Event
What to expect
Step into Sweet Freedom with Broke Scholar Baker, a Juneteenth-inspired cake decorating experience celebrating creativity, culture, and community through the art of cake. Inspired by the soulful Southern aesthetic of Sinners, the energy of Cowboy Carter, and the nostalgia of a summer cookout, this class blends music, storytelling, and sweet treats into an experience you won’t want to miss. Join us in this guided hands-on decorating class that celebrates Black joy, freedom, and tradition. Just in time to kick off the summer!
We’re also excited to welcome TRONCHA Matcha! They’ll be on site serving up handcrafted matcha drinks throughout the event. Come ready to decorate, connect, and gain some new skills to flex. ALL are welcome! (& Don’t forget about the dads!)
