What if the pain isn't a detour from your purpose — what if it's the path?Most of us have asked the question at some point: Why would God let this happen to me?
It's the most human question there is. And it deserves a real answer — not a cliché, not a motivational poster, not a well-meaning response that somehow makes you feel worse for asking.
Here's what we believe: there is a category of pain that God builds purpose into. Not because you deserve it. Not because you did something wrong. But because something is being grown in you — something that couldn't have developed any other way.
Think about how a vineyard works. When a branch isn't producing, a skilled gardener doesn't remove it — he lifts it, cleans it up, and repositions it toward the light. And when a branch is producing, he cuts it back anyway — not because something is wrong, but because something is right and he wants more of it.
That's a picture of how God works in your life. Both moves are uncomfortable. Both are intentional. And both are heading toward the same destination: a life so full of good things that it overflows into everyone around you.
Pain is not in the way of your purpose. Pain is in the process of your purpose.
