ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
This 2-part workshop (with the 1st session held on 24 Oct) will touch on the creation of a script that serves as the blueprint for a performance, providing instructions and dialogue for actors, as well as directions for set design, lighting, and sound. The process of playwriting involves careful crafting of dialogue, character development, and dramatic structure. Playwrights must possess a deep understanding of human behavior and relationships, as well as a keen eye for theatricality. They must be able to construct a compelling plot that captures the attention of audiences. This session will dive into constructive feedback and table reads for the plays written in the previous session - or if you're joining for the first time, feel free to bring any short 10min play you've written.
