From Mathfinder to Pathfinder – monster creation rules in Pathfinder 2E

Designing monsters for your table can be daunting. You’re never sure whether your party will steamroll your creation or—worse!—that your creation will steamroll your party! This session will help you utilize the monster creation rules in Pathfinder 2E to design an encounter that will challenge your party without killing it. The group will design a monster together using the monster creation process, coming out with an understanding of how to properly balance a monster for challenging play at the table.

Pathfinder has the reputation of being a very numbers-heavy RPG system, but they also do a lot to make the math accessible and help players and gamemasters understand the results of their choices. The lessons learned in this workshop will equip participants to confidently make challenging monsters not just for Pathfinder, but for any d20 roleplaying system.

Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of the Pathfinder 2E Core Rulebook (pre-remaster), the Pathfinder 2E GM Core, or a computer/table that can display free online rules from one of those books.
