“From Here to The Coast” works by Stacey Nussbaum

Viewpoints Gallery is excited to present From Here to The Coast, a unique new collection of pastel works by Bay Area artist Stacey Nussbaum. Inspired by the open spaces of the Peninsula, South Bay, and California coastline, Stacey’s work captures the essence of these cherished landscapes and seascapes with vibrancy and authenticity.

Known for her bold use of color, rich texture, and contemporary impressionist style, Stacey paints both on location and in the studio, bringing a dynamic energy to each piece. With every painting, she aims to evoke a sense of connection—inviting viewers to recall their own personal and emotional experiences with nature.

Stacey has worked primarily in pastel for many years, drawn to the tactile, hands-on experience and the vibrancy of its pure pigment. Her mastery of the medium shines through in her confident marks, layered textures, and luminous color palettes.

Stacey studied art and social work at San Jose State University and is an active member of the West Coast Pastel Society. When away from the easel, she spends time on the trails near her South Bay home, hiking and mountain biking through the scenery that inspires her. She's also a proud mom to two creative young adults.
