While the value of Toastmasters is certainly well known, it is important for clubs and its members to strive for greatness. Best selling author, Jim Collins in his book “Good to Great” introduces what is called the Hedgehog Concept that discusses how organizations and individuals can seek greatness. This presentation will discuss the importance of establishing a vision that contain core values, purpose and mission in order to attain greatness. The presentation will show how this concept is consistent with Toastmasters values. During the presentation, a real life example of how this concept was used in a Toastmasters club and how it can be used in the pursuit of greatness.
