Munchkin Nutrition and Dietetics and First Hands On are partnering to bring an exciting and practical education session to families in the Illawarra this July.
Our carefully designed workshop bundle gives new and expecting parents the knowledge, skills, and confidence to support their child through two important areas of early parenting: introducing solids safely and responding to common childhood emergencies.
Introducing Solids Workshop
Join Accredited Practising Dietitian Bec Emmett from Munchkin Nutrition and Dietetics for an evidence-based session covering:
• When to start solids
• Signs your baby is ready for solids
• How to introduce first foods
• Texture progression and feeding development
• Introducing common allergens safely
• Responsive feeding and building positive mealtime experiences
• Supporting healthy eating habits from the start
• Common feeding concerns and practical solutions
Infant & Child First Aid Workshop
Delivered by Maddy, an experienced paramedic and emergency department nurse from First Hands On, this interactive session will help you feel prepared when it matters most.
Our Infant & Child First Aid session covers:
• Infant & Child CPR
• Choking Emergencies
• Anaphylaxis & Allergic Reactions
• Burns & Scalds
• Falls & Head Injuries
• Poisons & Accidental Ingestion
Learn practical, hands-on skills and gain the confidence to respond when your child needs you most.
