Real-World Disability Management for School District HR, Risk, and Workers’ Compensation Professionals
About this Event

Session Description:

Managing disability accommodations has never been more challenging. School districts continue to navigate increasingly complex accommodation requests involving workers’ compensation injuries, psychological disabilities, extended leaves, performance concerns, remote work requests, and overlapping legal obligations under the ADA and FEHA.

While understanding the law is important, success today depends on something more: making sound decisions when the answers are not always obvious.

This highly interactive workshop is designed to move beyond legal compliance and into practical decision-making.

The day begins with a fast-paced refresher on Rachel Shaw’s Disability Interactive Process Hallway®, which serves as the foundation for managing disability accommodations consistently and defensibly.

From there, you’ll spend the majority of the day applying the framework to realistic school district scenarios through guided discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and live coaching.

Bring your questions and real-world disability accommodation challenges!
