About this Event

Saturday, October 10th, 2026: Pumpkinhead Family Bike Ride XIV!
Bigger, better, bolder... bit by bit...
The Pumpkinhead: "it's a ride, not a race."
An all-ages ride, with FIVE there-and-back-again routes to the west of Whittenberg, the Seedling (5K), the Jack-Be-Little (15K), the Jack O'Lantern (25K), the Jack Pumpkinhead (35K), and the Giant Pumpkin (45K) — as well as a sixth route, the Pumpkinseed, a 1/4-mile loop trail for the not-yet-ready-for-the-road set (such as those with trikes & training wheels). Rides start at 10 am (but the gates open at 9 am).
The Pumpkinhead serves as an annual fundraiser for the outdoor education & recreation programs of Whittenberg Country School, with a particular goal for this year of developing the school's perimeter trail and its soccer/football/squidditch field.
