About this Event
Do you dream of being a writer but feel stuck at the starting line? Does the blank page intimidate you? Try the Story Circle, a dynamic tool designed to help you break through those barriers. The Story Circle is a visual outlining method that's both informative and efficient, guiding you straight into the writing process.
In this workshop, you'll learn what the Story Circle is, how to use it effectively, and then dive into hands-on practice. The focus is on writing; you'll create original Story Circles and develop one into a scene or monologue.
We’ll also explore:
- Following the fun
- Pressing the stress
- The importance of thinking in scenes
- Understanding the midpoint, dilemmas, and forks in the path
- Confronting the ugly truth and opposition
- The consequences of the Hero's actions
- Balancing creativity and critical thinking
Whether you're working on a short film, novel, short story, or an epic trilogy, the Story Circle can help get your ideas from your brain to the page.
