Please join us for our in-town, indoor lecture series!
Join us for a lecture, presented by Andy Koebel, exploring the intricacies of our aquifer system in Southwest Florida, including where our water comes from and the journey it takes to get to our tap and discover some of the challenges with water supply we are facing now and could face in the future.
Andy started his career in the water and wastewater field in 1995. He earned licenses in both wastewater and water treatment, and in 2005 he became an engineering technician. While working full-time, he earned an associate’s degree in drafting and design technology from Edison State College. In 2006, he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of South Florida. He earned his Professional Engineer’s license and was named BSU’s Director of Operations in 2011. In 2024, he was named BSU’s Executive Director.
Andy is a member of the Water Environment Federation, Florida Water & Pollution Control Operators Association, American Water Works Association and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He oversees the operations of BSU’s various departments and carries out the policies of the Board of Directors.
