Using the NV Pre-K Standards in the classroom provides teachers with a clear, developmentally appropriate road map for providing young children with intentional learning activities that promote their overall development. During this session, educators have hands-on experience with the NV Pre-K Standards and the I'm Ready for K booklet.
Training Objectives:
By the end of the session...
•Learners will delineate the characteristics of kindergarten readiness.
•Learners will explain the framework of the Nevada Pre-K Standards utilizing the I'm Ready for K booklet.
•Learners will demonstrate how to communicate the Standards and the accompanying booklet to the families.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
