John “Jack” Nicholson and Susan Nicholson are award-winning musicians who can move effortlessly from a fiery Irish reel to Delta blues, old-time American music, classical melodies, unexpected pop songs and their own beautifully crafted originals.
Frogwater has become a fixture at Summerfest, Milwaukee Irish Fest, Bastille Days, the Wisconsin State Fair and festivals throughout the Midwest. They won the 2023 WAMI Award for Best Celtic/Folk, while Susan’s extraordinary fiddle playing has earned her individual WAMI honors as both Best Specialty Instrumentalist and Instrumentalist of the Year.
Most recently, Jack and Susan helped bring the music of The Fisherman’s Daughters to life at Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
