This special day invites our local neighbors, families, and friends to experience the Park beyond competition — to gather, explore, and enjoy a full day of community-focused activities.From the People's Steeplechase and Chili Cook-Off to Dog Agility Demonstrations, Friends & Neighbors Day is designed to welcome everyone — whether you’ve spent years at the Park or you’re visiting for the very first time. It’s a chance to learn about what we do, meet the people behind the scenes, and celebrate the shared passion that makes the Carolina Horse Park such a special place in the Sandhills!

Chili Cook-Off: Bring your appetite and your best chili game. 🌶️
Join us for a Chili Cook Off filled with bold flavors, friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun. Sample crowd favorites, vote for your top picks, and enjoy a lively day at the Park alongside great food and even better company.
Prizes awarded to top three entries for: People's Choice, Judge's Choice Professionals, Judge's Choice Amateurs, Side Dish and Presentation!
