Friends & Family Tour: Tales From The Oregon Coast

Luigart Gallery is proud to present Friends & Family Tour: Tales from the Oregon Coast, an exhibit of new paintings by John Lackey. The exhibit will run from July 14-August 1, and a reception for the artist will take place Saturday July 18 from 5-8 p.m. with a performance of a few original songs and poems by Lackey halfway through the evening.
The paintings are from photos taken by John last August when he and his wife Jenny visited friends and family along the Oregon coast, their longest road trip since their wedding 35 years ago. The joy, excitement and freedom is evident in these paintings.
A Lexington native, John is a painter and printmaker, and also writes poems, songs and fiction, much of which will be released in the upcoming year. He has created many book and album covers, as well as logos and posters for the likes of Wilco, Holler Poets Series and North Lime Coffee & Donuts.
Luigart Gallery is located at 110 Luigart Court, just off North Limestone between 7th Street and the railroad tracks.
