Fridays on Deck at Liberty Green Park

Fridays on Deck is a free weekly safe space for youth and their families throughout the summer, developing a new model for how safety and kinship between neighbors can be created. Join us for fun, free food, games and activities for all!
“Fridays on Deck” was introduced in the summer of 2022 at Liberty Green park in response to Pittsburgh youth requesting a safe space to congregate without being over-policed. 1Hood worked with youth in our We Keep us Safe program to solve this problem by hosting summer-time events for youth of all ages. Now in its fifth year, Fridays on Deck has expanded to include the Hill district’s Kennard Park and Hazelwood Burgwin.
