Pittsburgh Cat Walk 2026!

Please join us for Pittsburgh's first cat tour, which will be on Saturday, August 22nd from 12-2pm, starting in Legion Park in Brighton Heights! Wear comfortable shoes for a whimsical walk enjoying pre-planned house stops to view cats in windows and on porches. Let's come together, have fun, and support our animal nonprofits and rescues.
The event is completely donation based - minimum suggested donation is $10-20 per person recommended. All proceeds will go directly to Pittsburgh Paw Project and Frankie's Friends Humane. Several animal nonprofits will be available in Legion Memorial Park to support, learn about adoptable cats, and sign ups to volunteer with them in the future.
No tickets required.
Attendees are encouraged to safely bring their cats in strollers or backpacks. We will walk about 2-3 miles around the neighborhood making stops along the way! Bring signs, bring your kids and your cats!

12:30pm
Guided Group Cat Walk begins. We will stop at designated houses on the tour, to see kitties in the windows, doorways, and porches of the neighborhood!
12-2pm
Visit cat nonprofit tables, have snacks, and mingle to our cat themed playlist in Legion Memorial Park. Stop by anytime even if you don't do the walk! Meet other animal lovers like yourself - let's build community.
What's in Legion Park?
Non-profit and rescue animal groups representing - Learn about cat care, check out photos of available adoptable cats, sign up to volunteer in the future, and make donations directly to the nonprofits.
Cats - Thanks to Frankie's Friends catio!
Raffle including a handmade cat quilt and crocheted cat coasters, made special for this event. We will also collect your donations at the raffle table.
Whimsical fun - Gigantic cat puppets walking around, painted cat rocks hidden along the route, possibly random people juggling ... And most of all YOU! Bring yourself because you are so fun! Feel free to bring signs cheering on our cats or dress in theme. Let's be zany!
