Friday Sewcial

Looking for dedicated sewing time without distractions? Join us for Friday Sewcial, a relaxed
and supportive sewing meetup where you can work on any project of your choice. Bring your
sewing machine, supplies, and current project, and enjoy uninterrupted sewing time alongside
fellow sewing enthusiasts.
Whether you are making garments, quilting, embroidering, altering clothing, or learning a new
technique, this is the perfect opportunity to make progress on your projects while connecting
with the local sewing community.
An instructor will be available to answer basic sewing questions and provide light guidance
when needed, but this is not a structured instructional class.
Class Objectives:
● Provide dedicated sewing time in a creative environment
● Encourage community among local sewists
● Allow students to receive basic troubleshooting assistance
● Help participants complete personal sewing projects
● Build confidence through independent sewing practice
Supplies Provided:
● Cutting tables
● Ironing stations
● Classroom workspace
● Access to electrical outlets and sewing stations
Additional Notes:
This is a self-guided sewing session rather than a traditional instructional class. Students are
encouraged to work independently and come prepared with a project already in progress or
ready to start. Spots are limited so be sure to register soon!
Specifications
Students Should Bring:
● Sewing machine (if not renting a classroom machine)
● Current sewing project
● Fabric, pattern, thread, and project supplies
● Basic sewing tools (scissors, pins, seam ripper, marking tools, etc.)
Machines Available:
Students may rent an AllBrands classroom sewing machine for $25 per hour if they do not wish
to bring their own machine.
