Painted X-Ray
"First gig since late 2019! We're so pleased to be back performing."
A band with taiko at its heart, Painted X-Ray are taiko (Japanese drums—Alison Roe, Yumi Célia), guitar (Jer Reid), bass (Ali Begbie) and violin (Rafe Fitzpatrick): skins and strings basically.
Based in Glasgow and having toured around the UK,
Painted X-Ray have shared bills with The Ex, King Ayisoba, Kathryn Joseph, RM Hubbert, Sound of Yell, Barbara Morgenstern, Daikiri and FK Alexander (amongst others)

Muireann Levis
Muireann Levis is an Irish musician and sound artist based between Ireland and Glasgow. With releases on Moot Tapes and Faoi Thalamh records, she explores the sonic histories of environment and identity to compose choral, ambient soundscapes.
Currently her live performance focuses on field recordings and found sounds presented in song form, extended through live vocals, electronics and looping.
Her live shows have included festivals Celtic Connections (Glasgow), Alternating Current (Dublin) and Quarter (Cork), as well as support for L.T. Leif (Lost Map Records), Fears (Tulle Records) and Tennota & Rosa Anshutz (meakusma).

Laura Cioffi
"I will be performing Steve Reich's Vermont Counterpoint for a soloist on 3 different types of flutes + pre-recorded lines. I have just finiehd recording these and this will be my first time performing with electronics. This year is also Steve Reich's 90th Birthday year. I also hope to perform a piece by Donacha Denechy called FaT (Flute and Tape), a piece by Anna Clyne for solo flute called Hopscotch, a short piece by Philip Glass called Arabesque in Memoriam and a 12-tonal piece written for me by a Dutch composer called Luc Houtkamp with Eric Dolphy influences."
