The Librarians (2025), directed by Kim A. Snyder, is the 2026 Emmy-award winning documentary that follows librarians in Texas, Florida, and across the United States as they confront a sweeping wave of book bans and censorship and become unexpected defenders of the First Amendment. Portraying the experiences of librarians under siege and the everyday citizens who stand alongside them, The Librarians reveals the personal toll of censorship while framing the fight for the freedom to read as a broader struggle for democracy.
