About this Event

Join us for an evening with Lee Bollinger and Jelani Cobb for a timely discussion on freedom of speech on college campuses and in the press. The discussion will be moderated by Nikolas Bowie, the Louis D. Brandeis Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. Bollinger's book, and Cobb's form the basis of this important discussion.
Lee Bollinger, Emeritus President of Columbia University, is a leading voice in higher education on free speech. Jelani Cobb is the Head of the Columbia School of Journalism. Nikolas Bowie is an historian and constitutional law scholar. Together they will explore the role of American colleges and universities and the press in an era of authoritarianism and intense political scrutiny.

  • Ticket price includes signed copies of Bollinger's University: A Reckoning and Cobb's Three or More is a Riot.
  • The event will take place at the Martha's Vineyard Performing Arts Center.
