Bike the heart of the Obama Presidential District – where history was made and continues to be made everyday.
About this Event

Bike the heart of the Obama Presidential District – where history was made in architecture and horticulture, sociology and politics, commerce and the arts...and one Great Migration family, with 14 year old Emmett Till at its center, changed the course of that history. Join our seasoned Ride Marshall as we travel the boulevards, side streets, and parks with continuous storytelling, and along 8 miles and 2 hours of stops for highlights of this Black Metropolis. From major landmark destinations like the Olmstead parks of Midway Plaisance and Washington Park to community-cultivated neighbor spaces like the West Woodlawn Botanic Garden, Village Farm & Arboretum. You will travel through time to discover how sustainability and civil rights history intersect on Chicago’s South Side.

Launching Juneteenth ~ Friday June 19, 2026 – Friday & Saturday 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm; Sunday 9am-12pm.
