Location: Pembury Community Centre, 1 Atkins Square, Dalston Lane, London E8 1FA

Please note, this is not a drop-in session — participants are expected to attend the full course. The course is for Hackney residents only, and all attendees are required to complete a registration form upon enrolling.

Deposit: £10 refundable deposit, returned at the end of the course with 100% attendance. Exceptional circumstances will be considered if communicated.

This energising Soca Zumba course combines African and Caribbean-inspired music and dance styles with traditional Zumba moves to create a vibrant, full-body workout. Featuring easy-to-follow steps influenced by salsa, meringue, and soca rhythms, this class is perfect for complete beginners who want to get active and have fun in a welcoming environment.

Your progress on the course will be measured by how well you meet the learning outcomes. At the start, you’ll have a chance to discuss these with your tutor and set personal targets linked to your goals — including potential progression to a more advanced level.

This course is run in collaboration with the Mind Wellbeing Network, giving participants the opportunity to reflect on and discuss their wellbeing with trained staff. Through friendly conversations, staff will offer support, guidance, and help track your wellbeing throughout the course.
