Join us for an exciting community event to bring even more nature to your home. On Saturday November 16th, starting at 10 a.m., the Delaware Center for Horticulture will host a free native tree giveaway in partnership with the Route 9 Library & Innovation Center as part of the Tree for Every Delawarean Initiative (TEDI). Led by DNREC and the Delaware Forest Service, TEDI aims to respond to climate change by increasing tree coverage across Delaware. Join our efforts by choosing a tree for your home!
We have 200 trees! Each tree comes with a bag of mulch and planting instructions. Meet the Delaware Center for Horticulture staff and volunteers and take the opportunity to ask Community Forester, Rachel Sten all of your tree related questions. Be sure to arrive early, as trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis!
Who Can Participate: This giveaway is open to all Delaware residents. No purchase is necessary. Optional donation to support the Delaware Center for Horticulture greening initiatives and mission.
