Before the summer splash begins, find out exactly what your child can do in the water.Drop in Saturday, May 16 from 10–12 AM at YMCA Camp Immokalee for free community swim testing — open to all kids.
Here's what our staff are looking for:
🏊 Can they swim a full length of the pool unassisted?
🌊 Can they tread water for one minute?
🫧 Can they float on their back?
Kids who aren't there yet will be tested on a simpler but equally important skill — can they recover themselves from a face-up or face-down position in the water without help?
Every child is tested where they are, no pressure. You'll leave knowing their color and exactly what they're ready for this summer.
Kids ages 5+ who test at a beginner level qualify for our free Safety Around Water lessons in June and July — at no cost to your family. These are two-week programs with 30-minute daily lessons. Please note that all sessions must be attended to complete the program.
Just bring a swimsuit and a towel. No registration required!
