Camp Preview is a 3-night overnight session (June 3–6) for rising K–5 campers who are new to camp or not quite ready to jump into a full week yet.What happens during Camp Preview?
Campers arrive, meet their counselors, and settle into cabins with a small group.
From there, they move through camp like any other session, just at a more manageable pace. They’ll try a mix of activities, spend time outside, eat meals together, and start getting comfortable with the rhythm of camp.
Instead of feeling rushed or needing to pick favorites right away, they get to experience a little bit of everything.
What makes this different?
First, the group is smaller.
Because of that, everything feels a little more personal from the start.
Then, the pace is slower.
There’s more time to adjust, ask questions, and figure things out as they go.
And overall, it’s built with first-time campers in mind. Our staff know this may be their first time away from home, and they support them through that.
What if my child is nervous?
That’s pretty normal.
Some kids jump right in. Others take a little time to settle.
Either way, staff are there to help them get comfortable, stay engaged, and work through those first-day feelings.
What do kids leave with?
By the end of the session, most campers have a much clearer sense of what camp is like.
They’ve met people, tried new things, and figured out whether they want to come back for a full week.
