FREE Styrofoam Recycling Collection Event

Do you have Styrofoam occupying your home? Filling up garages, corners, and closets? Then bring your (clean) Styrofoam to our FREE collection event on Saturday, August 29th from 10am to 12pm (2-hour collection window) to the western parking lot in McCollum Park!
The Snohomish County WSU Sustainable Community Stewards will be waiting in the parking lot near the old swimming pool at 600 128th St. SE, Everett, WA to collect your Styrofoam, which will then be transported to Styro Recycle in Kent by the Marysville Food Bank.
NOTE: We often reach capacity before the advertised end time. We only have one truck, and WE WILL STOP COLLECTING MATERIAL ONCE IT IS FULL. Please do not arrive before the starting time, either.
Donations to the Marysville Food Bank, food or monetary, are highly suggested!
You can bring:
CLEAN, DRY, TAPE AND LABEL FREE
- Styrofoam to-go containers and food trays
- bagged Styrofoam packing peanuts (Please check that they are not the biodegradable kind)
- bubble wrap
- LPDE #4 foam
- Styrofoam block packaging, coolers, and sheets
- Pink, blue, or gray XPS foam insulation.
UNACCEPTED ITEMS:
- Spray-in foam
- Insta-Pak foam
- Grey insta-pak foam
- Foil-lined foam
- Hot tub covers
