About this Event
Art Love Salon is proud to sponsor this weekly mindful movement session inspired by Tai Chi and Qigong. Each Tuesday at 12:00PM participants meet the instructor at First & Pike park for a gentle, beginner friendly practice focused on posture, balance, breath and simple movements to calm the nervous system. After the outdoor session ar around 12:15PM participants are welcome to walk with the instructor to Art Love Salon, just two blocks away. There, guests can warm up, use the restroom, enjoy a cup of coffee and optionally continue with another 15 minutes of beginner moves and a chance to learn the first 5 steps of Yang Tai Chi 24-Form practive.
If the park is unavailable or weather conditions are poor, the instructor will walk with the group to Art Love Salon immediately at 12:00pm and the session will take place indoors.
When: Tuesdays at 12:00PM
Duration: 30 minutes of exercise

Instructor Bio: Karin Philomin has been teaching Tai Chi and Qigong for over 25 years. She has led mindful movement sessions throughout downtown Seattle, including Westlake, South Lake Union, Occidental, and Hin Hay Park as part of commmunity wellness and revitalization efforts. Her work focuses on accessible, everyday movement practices that support balance, calm and connection in public spaces.
